Bonjour! My name is Paul-James White and I am currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellows in Oxford. Last year, I was studying a Doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Paris 7 under the generous support of the foundation “Sciences Mathématiques de Paris”. Ola Makhoul is a second year Ph.D student from the Mathematics and Theoretical Physics Laboratory of the University François-Rabelais (Tours, France). The Foundation gave her the opportunity to attend the Ricci Curvature and Ricci flow program of lectures and workshops in Centre Emile Borel (Paris).

Louis Dupaigne has been invited by the Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris to attend the Singularities in mechanics three month's program of lectures and workshops in Centre Emile Borel (Paris).

Alexandra

As a Ph.D student working in one of the Foundation's labs, Alexandra Claisse enjoyed a research visit offered by the Foundation. She gives here her first impressions about this sojourn in Chile.

Qiaoling

Qiaoling Wei is a student from Tsinghua University, in Beijing. She came in Paris for her second year of master, with the support of the Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris.

Deng Wen is a chinese student come in Paris with the Foundation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris’s support. She is doing a master in Paris VI, with a speciality in fundamental mathematics.

Khalil

Khalil
Etudiant venu de la faculté des sciences de Tunis, Khalil Chouk suit grâce à la Fondation un master en Mathématiques Fondamentales à l ’Université Paris Diderot. Il livre ses impressions sur la ville “Beaucoup de théories mathématiques ont été développées ici. Paris a une histoire mathématique prestigieuse et garde un avantage sur d’autres villes du monde.” Pour ce qui est des cours : “Les professeurs vont assez vite”, reconnaît l’étudiant dont les résultats aux premiers examens varient cependant entre 19 et 20. Celui qui qualifie les chargés de TD de “phénoménaux” ajoute : “L’environnement ici est très motivant. Il y a une véritable émulation entre les étudiants qui veulent réussir.”

Roxana is a student from Romania. In 2010, she is one of the first laureates of the Foundation's master program: Paris Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences. She is doing her master in Paris-Dauphine in Mathematical Modelling and Decision - Applied Mathematics.

Alexandra

Alexandra is a portuguese student in numerical analysis and partial differential equations. She is one of the first laureates of the Foundation's master program: Paris Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences. She is doing her master in University Pierre et Marie Curie.

Jérémie

Jérémie Szeftel is the 2009 laureate of the Foundation's Prize. Now a CNRS researcher, he works at the Department of mathematics and applications of the Ecole Normale Supérieure.

Clément

Clément Foucart is a PhD student at the Laboratory of Probability and Random Models. He receives founding from the Foundation to do his research in Cambridge.

Pierre

Dans le cadre d'un accord entre la Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris et la Fondation Pierre Ledoux, le doctorant Pierre Gabriel (LJLL) a bénéficié d'une bourse de 5000 euros lui permettant d'effectuer un séjour à Vanderbilt University (Tennessee, USA).

Damien et Clara

Damien et Clara
Damien Carver and Clara Muller are going to spend a month in july 2011 at the university of Brown, one of the most prestigious in the United States. Their stay is financially supported by the Foundation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris.
