For the academic year 2008-2009, the Foundation's Award goes to: Sergey Neshveyev, Associate Professor, University of Oslo.
The recipient is giving since 6th February 2009 a course entitled Compact quantum groups and their representation categories. The course is about the operator algebraic approach to quantum groups, emphasizing the role of categories in the study of group actions, potential theory and differential geometry.Â
The course is divided in ten two-hours lectures that will take place every friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the IHP.
An abstract of the first lecture (of February 6th) can be download here.Â
Coming soon : the videos of Sergey Neshveyev's lectures !
For the first time the laureate's course has been recorded. The researchers and students who could not attend some lectures or the whole course will be able to watch the videos on this website soon.
